Fraud Arrest: On 08/12/2015, police charged Kelly S. Isenbarg, a.k.a. Kelly Walters, age 39, Big Hill Avenue, for the misuse of a credit card during the early part of 2015.
On 04/08/2015, a complainant reported to police that while he was incarcerated from January until early April, his disability debit card had been utilized numerous time to make unauthorized purchases or ATM withdrawals. The complainant identified Isenbarg, his girlfriend at the time, as the likely suspect in the thefts.
The follow-up investigation established that the complainant’s debit card had been utilized on 12 separate occasions resulting in a loss of $2906.72.
On 06/30/2015, a warrant was issued for Isenbarg’s arrest, charging her for Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card $500 to $10,000 (2 counts) and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card Under $500 (10 counts).
On 08/12/2015, officers were dispatched to Walmart in response to a report of a shoplifter being detained by the store. Upon arrival, officers learned that employees observed the female, later determined to be Isenbarg, pass through the self-checkout lane without paying for all of the items in her possession. Isenbarg initially provided the investigating officer with a false name to avoid detection on the warrant charges, but her true identity was later determined.
Isenbarg was taken into custody and transported to the MCDC where a search of her person led to the recovery of a small quantity of heroin. In addition to the warrant charges, Isenbarg was charged for the following offenses:
– Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
– Promoting Contraband 1st Degree
– Theft by Unlawful Taking Under $500
– Giving Officer False Name
