Ralph Alex Wilmot
Ralph Alex Wilmot, age 80, of Berea, died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Baptist Health in Richmond. He was born in Garrard County to the late Alex and Myrtle Humes Wilmot.
A member of the Harmon’s Lick Church of God, he had worked for Feldman Lumber, owned and operated a milk truck route, worked on a state highway crew, and was a dairy farmer. He loved to take care of his yard and flowers, and his biggest hobby was his family and grandchildren.
Mr. Wilmot is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Judith Roark Wilmot of Berea; his daughters: Mary Ann (Mitchell) Ingram of Berea, Sandra (Scott) Wray of Danville, Anita Wilmot of Berea; his brother: Rayford (Rose) Wilmot of Versailles; his grandchildren: Heather and Jacob Ingram, Sarah and Shelby Wray, Christopher and Haley Collins.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kyle and Clifford Wilmot, and his sisters, Wendel Eldridge, Gladys Rose Wilmot and Edna Faye Wilmot.
Funeral services for Mr. Wilmot will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Collins and Bro. Bill Arrowood officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Jason Roark, Joshua Roark, David Wilmot, Tyler Roark, Christopher Collins, Jacob Ingram, Timothy Allen, and Jerry Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be his deceased friend Jeffrey Grider, and his sons-in-law Scott Wray and Mitchell Ingram.
