Drug Arrests: On 07/14/2015, police charged Ella M. Cain, age 33, and Chad McCallister, age 40, both of Francis Street, for drug offenses following a search of their residence.

On 07/14/2015, RPD Bike Patrol officers executed a search warrant at the residence of Cain and McCallister in furtherance of a drug related investigation. During the course of the search, officers discovered approximately 50 grams of heroin, a small baggie of methamphetamine, a Suboxone strip, an oxycodone pill, five gabapentin pills, in excess of $600.00 in cash, a large number of syringes, straws, spoons, baggies, a scale, a marijuana grinder, and other drug trafficking and use paraphernalia.

In addition, officers found three juveniles living in what was determined to be an unsafe environment. Children’s Protective Services was contacted and the children were released to a responsible adult relative.

Cain and McCallister were lodged in the MCDC, charged for the following offenses:

– Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
– Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree (3 counts)
– Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (2 counts)
– Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug

Shoplifting: Richmond Police arrested Tabitha Lemieux in connection with the Shoplifting incident at Richmond Wal mart on 07/13/2015 where a female attempted to push out over $300.00 in merchandise. Miss Lemieux was charged with Robbery 2nd and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center. If you know the location of T. J Herring and David Lemaster call us at 859 623-1162. All of the items were recovered.

Drug Trafficking Charges: On 07/14/2015, police charged Melody A. Nolan, age 33, Mt. Rushmore Drive, for drug trafficking in connection with drug sales made in mid-2014.

On 06/10/2014 and again on 07/14/2014, the RPD Narcotics Unit purchased a quantity of heroin from Nolan during a covert investigation.

On 07/14/2015, charges were placed against Nolan at the MCDC where she was being held on unrelated charges. She was charged for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2 counts.

Vandalism: On 07/13/2015, police charged Joseph D. Crowdus, age 19, no address provided, Richmond, for criminal mischief in connection with the damaging of his former girlfriend’s vehicle.

At approximately 11:40 A.M., a female identifying herself as the former girlfriend of Crowdus reported that the two were involved in a verbal altercation on Barringer Lane when Crowdus jumped on the hood of her car, stomped the windshield until it shattered, then jumped on both the roof and trunk lid of the vehicle, causing large dents. Crowdus then left the scene. Damage was estimated to be in excess of $1000.00

A short time later, Crowdus was located on S. Maple Street and was taken into custody without incident. He was charged for Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and lodged in the MCDC. A bench warrant from Fayette County for the arrest of Crowdus for Failure to Appear on a Theft charge was also served on him.
