B. Michael Caudill Middle School has selected Che Haselwood as its next principal. Haselwood will replace Ken Bicknell, who will be serving with the Kentucky Department of Education. Haselwood is currently serving the district as a principal at Shannon Johnson Elementary School.
Haselwood has been employed by Madison County Schools since 2010. He served in the district as a teacher at B. Michael Caudill Middle School from 2010 to 2013 before teaching at Farristown Middle School in 2014. Haselwood was also employed as pastor at Waco United Methodist Church.
Madison Middle School has selected Amie Gallion as its next principal. Gallion will replace Steve Evans, who will be serving Madison County Schools as district assessment coordinator. Gallion is currently serving the district as math teacher at Foley Middle School.
Gallion has been an educator since 2002. She served students in Montgomery County for two years and Fayette County for one year before starting her career in Madison County in 2005. Gallion has been a math teacher, math coach, and coached a variety of extracurricular activities while at Foley Middle for the past 10 years.
“Both Mr. Haselwood and Mrs. Gallion are proven leaders in their previous roles in our district and outside our district,” said Chief Academic Officer David Gilliam. “We are pleased to have them serving in the leadership roles at Caudill and Madison middle schools and look forward to the exciting things they will do for our students and staff.”
