Berea Police Report July 14, 2015

Drug Arrest: On 07/11/2015 Officers were called to the Tobacco Shed in reference to possible drug activity in the parking lot. Officers made contact with two females in a vehicle and discovered that one of them had an active arrest warrant.

Officers arrested 33 year old Cassandra Falin of Berea KY. Concealed in her clothing she had one Lorcet tablet. She was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree.

DUI/Drug Arrest: On 07/10/2015 a traffic stop was conducted on Richmond Road for a minor traffic offense. The Officer observed that the driver had slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol. He also observed three open beer cans in the vehicle.

Officers arrested 58 year old Ricky Green of Georgetown KY. Inside of Green’s vehicle, Officers located one Suboxone strip. He was charged with Operating A Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, and several other traffic offenses.

Shoplifting Arrest: On 07/09/2015 Walmart employees observed a male subject remove clothing items from the racks and conceal them under his coat. He was detained by store employees and the merchandise was recovered.

Officers arrested 53 year old David McIntosh of Berea KY and charged him with Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.

DUI Arrest: On 07/08/2015 in the early morning hours a traffic stop was conducted on Lorraine Court for a minor traffic offense. The driver of the vehicle could not produce a license and had a strong odor of alcohol.

Officers arrested 19 year old Matthew Boone of Richmond KY and charged him with Operating A Motor Vehicle Under the Influence < 21 YOA, as well as other traffic offenses. [caption id="attachment_41644" align="alignleft" width="279"]ARRESTED ARRESTED[/caption]
Shoplifting/ Assault Arrest: On 07/07/2015 Officers were called to Walmart in reference to a male shoplifter. The subject had attempted to leave the store with merchandise that he had not paid for. He was stopped by store employees and before Officers arrived, the subject swallowed several pills.

Officers cited 37 year old Derick Bishop of Brodhead KY for Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting and he was transported to St. Joseph Berea. Later that evening Officers were called to St. Joseph Berea ER in reference to Mr. Bishop causing a disturbance. As they were attempting to get him under control, Bishop struck one of the Officers in the face. He was arrested and charged with the following…

Counterfeit Money: On 07/09/2015 Officers were called to McDonalds on Brenwood Drive in reference to a counterfeit bill.

Store employees reported that they received a counterfeit $10.00 as payment at some point during the day.
