Drug Trafficking Charges: On 06/13/2015, police served an arrest warrant on Damien J. Sykes, age 35, Keri Ann Drive, charging him for drug trafficking in connection with drug sales made in late 2014.

On 11/13/2014 and again on 12/03/2014, the RPD Narcotics Unit purchased a quantity of methamphetamine from Sykes during a covert investigation.

On 06/08/2015, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Sykes, charging him for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2 counts, following his indictment by a Madison County Grand Jury.

On 06/13/2015, the warrant was served on Sykes at the MCDC where he was being held on unrelated charges.

Burglary Arrest: On 06/10/2015, police charged Tamara Rader, age 21, Anita Lane, for burglary in connection with the unlawful entry into a residence.

At approximately 9:15 A.M., an officer was dispatched to an apartment in the 700 block of Sizemore Drive to investigate a burglary. Upon arrival, the officer met with the resident who reported that she had been away from home for seven days and upon returning on 06/09/2015, she discovered approximately 20 DVDs and a jar containing $237.00 in change missing from her home. It was determined that entry had been made through a rear window.

During the course of the investigation, Rader was developed as a suspect after it was discovered that she had been inside the apartment on or about 06/06/2015 while the resident was away.

On 06/10/2015, Rader was interviewed at the MCDC where she was incarcerated on unrelated charges, after which she was charged for Burglary 2nd Degree in connection with this investigation.

Burglary Arrests: On 06/07/2015, police charged Jonathan M. Walker, age 24, Bluegrass Homes Street, and a 16-year-old male in connection with the unlawful entry into a residential garage.

At approximately 4:07 A.M., officers were dispatched to a reported burglary in progress in the 900 block of Siesta Drive. It was further reported that the resident could see suspects inside his detached garage. Upon arrival, police discovered Walker and the juvenile male hiding in a storage room inside the garage. The garage had been rummaged through and a handgun was reported missing. Entry was gained through a garage window.

Both suspects were charged for Burglary 3rd Degree. Walker was lodged in the MCDC. The juvenile was cited and released to a parent.

Wanton Endangerment Arrest: On 06/07/2015, police charged Raleigh J. Sizemore, age 34, Appalachian Court, Berea, for wanton endangerment after responding to a reported disturbance.

At approximately 1:40 A.M., officers were dispatched to Keri Ann Drive in response to a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, officers met with a complainant who reported that he observed Sizemore involved in an argument with two women and attempted to intervene after Sizemore shoved both women to the ground. Sizemore then brandished a knife and started jabbing at the complainant. The complainant fled with Sizemore in pursuit but the complainant managed to escape to a safe location.

Officers located Sizemore sitting in a vehicle at his residence and determined that he was intoxicated. A pocket knife was recovered from the vehicle. Sizemore was taken into custody, charged for Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place, and lodged in the MCDC.

The women involved declined to cooperate in the assault investigation.
