Drug Arrests: On 06/19/2015 a traffic stop was conducted on Richmond Road for a minor traffic violation. The Officer detected a strong odor of Marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle and observed that the driver had glossy eyes. Inside of the vehicle Officers located a Marijuana pipe with residue and needle containing Oxycodone. The driver was identified as 18 year old Ambrose Farley of Berea Ky, and was placed under arrest. He was charged with Operating A Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense, Drug Paraphernalia Possession, and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree.
Three passengers in the vehicle were also charged with Drug Paraphernalia Possession and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree. They were identified as 30 year old Daniel Smyth of McKee KY, 51 year old James Lowery of Berea KY, and 24 year old Jesse Rose of Berea KY.
Smyth and Rose were also charged with Public Intoxication.
DUI Arrest: On 06/17/2015 Officers were called to Mount Vernon Road in reference to a reckless driver. The vehicle was located in the front lawn of Liberty Avenue Baptist Church and had struck a curb. After a short time the Officer determined that the subject was under the influence.
Officers arrested 70 year old Norwood Brown JR of Cayce SC and charged him with Operating A Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense.
DUI Arrest: On 06/18/2015 Officers were called to the area of the Berea Bypass in reference to a reckless driver. The vehicle was located driving in the wrong lane and almost struck the Officer’s vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and the Officer observed that the driver had slurred speech and an odor of alcohol.

Drug Arrest: On 06/18/2015 Officers were called to the 200 Block of Herndon Street in reference to a dispute. Inside the residence one of the parties ran to a back room and the Officer followed. He located a plastic baggie containing suspected Methamphetamine and a purse containing several different pills.
Officers arrested 41 year old Tammy Berryman of Waco KY and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and three counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree.
Shoplifting Arrest: On 06/18/2015 Walmart employees observed a female subject attempt to leave the store with merchandise concealed on her person.
Officers arrived and arrested 20 year old Cheyanna Reed of Berea Ky. The total value of the merchandise was $28.08. Reed was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking Shoplifting.
Drug Arrest: On 06/18/2015 Officers arrested 39 year old Charles Delaney on Richmond Road for three active arrest warrants.
Once he was inside of the Madison County Detention Center, Deputies located a plastic bag containing Methamphetamine inside of his pants.
He was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and Promoting Contraband.
Theft: On 06/19/2015 Officers arrested 29 year old Elizabeth Price of Berea KY.
An investigation revealed that she had moved out of an apartment and took a washer and dryer that did not belong to her. These items were valued at $750.00.
She was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking $500 or More.
Alcohol Arrest: On 06/21/2015 Officers were called to Boone Street in reference to a male subject passed out in a yard. Officers located the subject who had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.
They arrested 46 year old Gary Brock of Berea KY and charged him with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
Theft Arrest: On 06/21/2015 a male subject came to the Berea Police Department and requested a voucher for gasoline. After Officers spoke with the subject they ran a check and learned that he had an active arrest warrant.
They arrested 40 year old Eulan Sams of Lexington KY and transported him to the Madison County Detention Center. Officers later ran a check on the license plate of his vehicle that he had driven to the Police Department and learned that it had been reported stolen. The vehicle was rented by Sams back in January and he never returned it. He was also charged with Theft By Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property.
