“Capturing the Art of Sport: Works by Kentucky Artisans”

The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea’s current exhibition, “Capturing the Art of Sport: Works by Kentucky Artisans,” is on display now through Feb. 22, 2014. Free guided gallery tours of this exhibit will be held Sunday, Aug. 24, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

This exhibit features works by 25 artists and includes wood carvings, photographs, paintings, textile works, baskets, prints, mixed media works and sculpture. A wide variety of sports are captured by these artists including fishing, boating, soccer, golf, baseball, greyhound and horse racing, cycling, archery basketball and boxing.

Celebrating 10 Years in 2013, the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is located at 200 Artisan Way, just off Interstate 75 at Berea, Exit 77. The Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the cafe is open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is free.
