Renfro Valley Presents Tanner Dole Day

Renfro Valley Entertainment Center is extremely honored to present Tanner Dole Day, this Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. In Renfro Valley’s efforts to continue helping to support our community and fans around the world, this will be a cancer benefit show that can not be missed.
Tanner Dole, an eighth-grader at Harrison Junior School in Harrison Ohio, was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia in March, Acute myeloid leukemia. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is one of the most common types of leukemia among adults. This type of cancer is rare under age 40. Persons with this type of cancer have abnormal cells inside their bone marrow. The cells grow very fast, and replace healthy blood cells. The bone marrow, which helps the body fight infections, eventually stops working correctly. Persons with AML become more prone to infections and have an increased risk for bleeding as the numbers of healthy blood cells decrease.
All proceeds from the Renfro Valley Barn Dance Show this Saturday night starting at 7:00pm will be donated to Tanner for his fight against cancer and for finding a cure. Reservations for this very special are strongly recommended and can be reserved by calling the Renfro Valley Box Office at 1-800-765-7464.
