Historic Lackey House Burns

The Historic Lackey House on Lancaster Avenue in Richmond received heavy fire damage Tuesday December 14th. More than twenty Richmond Fire Fighters battled the blaze and fidgets temperatures. Fire Fighters managed to save a few antiques, but the home, built in 1916 has extensive smoke and water damage. The Lackey Family has owned the property since 1903, and is the home of former state Sen. John Lackey. No one was injured during the blaze. No cause for the fire has been determined at this time.
